Greece 2023

Greece 2023: Part One

Greece has been on the bucket list for quite some time and just hadn’t happened yet. Although we send clients here alot, I had not found the time to make it happen until this Fall.

Thanks to my dear friends and partners, Curated Greece and my favorite Travel Tribe I finally landed there and “Mama Mia, what a time we had”.

Athens

First stop, Athens . Once we checked into our hotel, unpacked and freshened up, it was time for a greek salad, of course.

We took the time to stroll the streets and villages and find our way around. I really liked Athens more than I thought I would. Yes, it’s a big and busy city but I really liked the vibe as well as the villages and cafes on every little street corner.

Acropolis Tour

After lunch, on to the Acropolis tour. The late afternoon hours are the perfect time to visit the most popular landmark in Athens. It helps to beat the heat and the crowds which are both very common here. It’s so hard to believe these things were built by human hands, no equipment and so long ago. Pro tip…..dress comfortable, cool and wear very good shoes with grip. It can be super slick at certain parts. My jumpsuit from Spanx was perfect for the whole day of adventures.

That evening we met our friends and partners from Greece for dinner at Dopios and the spread was unbelieve. We filled our bellies and headed straight to bed. That was a whirlwind of a day!

The next morning was breakfast with this view at our rooftop of the hotel before heading to Naxos. Athens was short and sweet but a great way to start the trip.
