Costa Rica Part Two
As promised, I wanted to share the second leg of my most recent trip to Costa Rica. After leaving the Arenal region, we headed to the coastal part. We split the ride up with a stop to Andaz to tour their property and I was pleasantly surprised. I really like it more than I thought I would. The rooms were very spacious , the views of Papagayo were very nice and they had several pools to choose from. We took a little trip to the beach club for lunch and it was a neat spot that offers a quick boat taxi back to the resort.

Las Catalinas
After lunch, we headed to my favorite stop….Las Catalinas. Such a special Italian like village set among the coastal region of Costa Rica and I WILL be back. The neighborhood’s goal within the next five years is to have a full service neighborhood with shops, eateries, entertainment and accommodations all in one place. I was so much more impressed than I thought I would be. It’s a perfect place for couples and multi gen families that want to stay altogether with accommodations that offer as many as 8 bedrooms and separate living spaces. If you are an active family that wants to go and explore during the day but have a special place to stay in the afternoon and evenings, this is for you! Trust me! There’s so much to offer. They had the cutest wine bar that offers very special wine pairings, yummy dining options and easy access to the marina for sailing and fishing excursions as well as surfing and hiking nearby. We even had a private chef visit the house to make homemade pizza and the yummiest of desserts.
Pool Time and Sunset Dinner
We ended the trip with the grand finale by staying at the adult only property right down the road and it was a great way to end. We had a full pool day between the resort pool, our private pool and then ended the day with the most gorgeous sunset dinner ( and maybe a sunburn or two)!
